THC
THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the primary intoxicating compound in cannabis. Reported percentages describe the concentration measured by a licensed laboratory at the time of testing.
A higher percentage is not a measure of quality. Aroma, cure and the full chemical profile all contribute to the character of a product.
CBD
CBD (cannabidiol) is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid frequently reported alongside THC on product labels.
Reading a label
New York requires licensed products to carry lab-verified cannabinoid content, package size, batch identifiers and required warnings. Always read the label supplied with the product you purchase.
